Mill-Rose stainless steel thread sealing PTFE tape is a unique thread sealing tape which prevents stainless steel fittings from galling or seizing during assembly and disassembly. The tape is thicker (0.0045 in +/-10% and denser (2.50/gr/cubic centimetre +/-110%) than most tapes. The added thickness and density also ensures an effective seal up to 12,000 psi. The tape is impregnated with nickel powder which acts like bearing plates, keeping the surface of the male and female threads apart. Further protection is provided with the thicker and denser than average composition of Mill-Rose stainless steel thread sealing tape. This added thickness and density also ensure an effective seal.
